Ingredients:
Yields: 20 empanadas
20 empanadas discs for frying
2 lbs ground beef
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 sweet pepper, chopped
5 tbsp tomato pasteYour favorite hot sauce
A pinch of onion powder
A pinch of oreganoCrushed red pepper flakesSalt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp water Vegetable oil, for frying
Method of Preparation:
- Preheat a saucepan and begin preparing the veggies with the olive oil, garlic, pepper, salt, and oregano.
- Add the ground beef when you notice the vegetables starting to roast.
- Season the meat with all the spices you wish, keeping in mind that it needs to have a particularly robust flavor.
- Include the tomato paste and thoroughly combine with the meat.
- Add spicy sauce last! Be careful since you won’t be able to remove the sauce at that point.
- It’s time to put the empanadas together. Put some of the hot meat in the center of one of the discs. All you have to do is fold it in half.
- In heated vegetable oil, fry them till crisp and brown.
