Ingredients:
For the Burger Patties:
1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
1/2 pound ground pork
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
For the Burger Toppings:
4 hamburger buns
8 slices of crispy bacon
4 slices of cheddar cheese
Lettuce leaves
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced red onions
Pickles
Ketchup and mustard for serving
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried basil. Mix everything together until well combined.
Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
Preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer if you prefer a different level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and let it melt.
While the patties are cooking, grill the hamburger buns until they are lightly toasted.
Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, and sliced red onions on the bottom half of each bun.
Place the cooked burger patties with melted cheese on top of the vegetables.
Add two slices of crispy bacon on each patty.
Top with pickles and the other half of the toasted hamburger bun.
Serve the Bacon and Meat Lover’s Burger with ketchup and mustard on the side.
